Techniques of Drawing for Beginners

This introductory drawing techniques class teaches the building blocks that support all other art making — including line, volume, space, proportion, composition, mark-making, and value. In this class students will be instructed in understanding and using perspective, drawing from life, and figure drawing.

This class will cover the use of graphite, charcoal, and ink media.  We will discuss other mediums as well.  We will also discuss drawing psychology and learn about common pitfalls and obstacles faced by those learning to draw, while trying to improve their skills. No prior drawing experience required.
