Beginning Acrylic


Who: Anyone who would like to learn how to work in Acrylic paints. No experience necessary.  Ages 13 & Up.

What:  Learn the basics of painting with acrylics from color mixing to mark making and composition. This course offers an introduction to the properties of acrylic paints, concepts in values, layering, and more. The course will culminate with a full color still life painting. Instructor works one-on-one with each student based on experience level. No painting experience required. 

WHEN:  Meets weekly for 6 weeks        

BA#1-Saturday April 13-June 1 (no class 5/4 AND 5/29) from 12:30-2:30

BA#2- Wednesday April 17-May 22 from 6:15-8:15

BA#3 - Wednesday May 29-July 10 (No Class 7/4) from 6:15-8:15

WHERE: Ice House Gallery Studios, 609 South Blvd, Evanston

WHY: Because art is fun and amazing, and there is an artist in each of us that needs to grow

COST: $145, includes all basic materials

INSTRUCTOR:  Edna Porter

Materials: Students will be provided with basic materials in class but are also encouraged to bring their own supplies. A suggested material list will be discussed for those interested in purchasing their own materials.
