The Art of Teaching
We are hosting a Teacher-made show to highlight the creations of hard-working, caring and talented teachers in Evanston, the North Shore and Chicago-area.
We are looking for 20-30 artists who are teachers of any subject in any grade. Arts, Sciences, PE, English etc. if you’re a teacher, we appreciate your art! In-training, active and retired teachers welcome.
Deadline for submissions: Saturday November 2nd by 6pm.
Art Drop Off: Friday December 27th and Saturday December 28th between 10am and 5pm.
Opening Reception: Saturday January 4th, 5-8pm
Art Pick Up: Saturday April 25th and Sunday April 26th between 10am and 5pm
*We will not accept late submissions, art drop offs or late forms.
Let us know who you are your school and your subject.
We are looking for finished, display-ready pieces priced to sell. Pieces over $1500 will not be accepted, artists are encouraged to submit most of their work at under $500 retail. Art is replaced as it sells throughout the show.
Artists may submit up to fifteen pieces for consideration per call. High quality images only.
All pieces are to be sold on consignment at a 50% split. All media welcome: painting, photography, sculpture, ceramics, mixed media, etc. There is a $25 installation fee due upon art drop off.
Wall Art for Consideration:
Send pictures of art with its Title, Size and Retail Price. Available space per artist is up to 8x6sqft. Artist may submit up to enough work to fill said space, they may enter fewer. All art must be hang-ready (Wire, D-ring, or Sawtooth) and finished. We do have print racks for prints or unframed works. Loading door is 35x80 in. Ramp Available.
Sculpture, Functional or Free-Standing, or Suspended Art for Consideration:
Send pictures of art with its Title, Overall Size, Base Size, and Retail Price. We offer a variety of pedestals, can hang floating sculpture from our ceiling, and have a large expanse of floor space. Loading door is 35x80 in. Ramp Available.
