“Art and Science”
My lifelong love of nature, and my education in laboratory science, is incorporated into the various forms of art that I create, from paintings to glass fusion. My artwork includes not only art for display but also functional art, capturing the many uses of art in everyday life.
Some of my earlier art works were photographs and illustrations, for ASCPA (lab pathology association) posters and CAP (College of American Pathologists) tests, electron microscopy, and for professional presentations, while I worked in related laboratories.
I have also participated in many arts and crafts fairs, as well as a competition in Science as Art, which extended from London to Copenhagen. For the past ten years, I have been teaching glass fusion and pottery classes, passing along my artistic skills, to help others develop and enjoy their creative talents.
