A professional guitarist for thirty-four years, Tom Krol is a Chicago native who grew up studying music. At thirteen, he received a piano scholarship with a former instructor of Julliard. He attended DePaul University on a clarinet performance scholarship and graduated with Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Music with a major in Sound Recording Technology.

In the 1990’s, Tom was one of the top guitarists-for-hire in Chicago for jingle recording sessions and live society music orchestras. His credits include Microsoft’s Halo 2 video game (alongside Steve Vai), countless commercials on TV and radio, Atlantic Records, album work in Nashville and Los Angeles, and scoring music for commercials, industrial, and independent films.

A true renaissance man, Tom is also a professional sound engineer of field recording, live events, music and post production. He is nearly fluent in Spanish, a licensed electrician, handyman, and a husband and father of two.

Tom learned old-school analog audio production while working at Universal Recording in Chicago in the 1980’s. Since 1994 at his own studio “Level 10 Sound” (formerly TK Audio in Chicago), Tom has produced audio projects ranging from VO coaching & production to bilingual award-winning corporate work to music albums. He’s an expert with live webcast and broadcast audio mixing.

Tom has released four music albums as an independent music artist. In 2010 he performed classical guitar live on WFMT. Find Tom Krol Music on Spotify, Google Play, Amazon, iTunes, Facebook, and Sound Cloud.
